GMBank, Philippine Red Cross-Nueva Ecija Chapter conducts bloodletting program

Encouraging employee participation and heroes’ initiative, GMBank teamed up with the Philippine Red Cross Nueva Ecija Chapter on a 3-day scheduled bloodletting program with the theme SAVE and CELEBRATE a GOOD Life, held in GMBank Executive Office, San Isidro, and Muñoz Branches last March 1, 8 and 15, 2024 respectively.

“Si GMBank ay nakakatulong sa mga nasa “laylayan” sa pamamagitan ng pag-alok ng produkto at serbisyo ni GMBank. Ang program [bloodletting program] na ginagawa natin ngayon ay isa rin sa pamamaraan para makatulong na hindi naman sa pinansiyal na paraan.”, Health Officer, Rodrigo G. Taruc, RN, LPT, quoted regarding for this major event.

Conveying their courageous efforts, employees under GMBank Corporate Head Office collected 22 bags of blood to send off the program.

On the second day of the bloodletting initiative, to expand its assistance for the program, the Microfinance Department under Cluster 2 which covers several parts of Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Southern parts of Nueva Ecija, lead most of the donations in the area. The proud Cluster collected 41 bags which was the most for the 3-day program with the guidance of their Cluster 2 Head Mr. Angelito J. Mallari, and Microfinance Department Head Mr. Nilo V. Quiroz.

On the other hand, the humanitarian contributions of GMBank’s norther branches which covers areas within Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan, and Northern parts of Nueva Ecija managed to secure 30 individuals eligible for blood donation.

Concluding the bloodletting activity, Mr. Rudell De Guzman, RMT stated that the Philippine Red Cross Nueva Ecija Chapter was beyond grateful for prioritizing the 3-day bloodletting activity. The Head of the Nueva Ecija Chapter also expressed the commendation and efforts of our employee volunteers and encouraged them to become regular donors to collaborate and address the needs of the most vulnerable communities.
