GMBank conducts thanksgiving program for the Christmas season.
In coordination with the General de Jesus College, GMBank successfully conducted two outreach programs.
GMBank is committed to giving back to the community and successfully conducted the Gift of Love Outreach Program last December 22, 2022, to achieve this goal. The program focused on bringing the festive season to the indigenous students enrolled in local elementary schools in Barangay Malapit, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija, and helping underprivileged individuals and families in GK (Gawad Kalinga) Batang Bayani in Tabon, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. Working alongside General de Jesus College (GJC), support from our generous donors, and with the help of GM Bank employee volunteers who dedicated their time and efforts to make the program reach its success.
One of the main initiatives of the outreach program is volunteering at local schools in Barangay Malapit, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. GM Bank with the help of the employee volunteers and in partnership with GJC, visited Malapit West Elementary School and Malapit East Elementary School to provide school supplies, party meals, and holiday parties for indigent children enrolled in the said schools.
Another important aspect of the outreach program is supporting GK Batang Bayani in the Gawad Kalinga community by organizing events and activities such as various parlor games and holiday parties. Additionally, the program provides Noche Buena packages and party meals.
Ms. Mary Joice Reyes, the overall organizer for this program, was filled with immense pride and gratitude, reflecting on the significance of the GMBank Gift-Giving Outreach Program conducted last December 22, 2022. She considered it to be among the most extraordinary projects undertaken within the year. The experience left an everlasting impression on their hearts, as it provided them with the opportunity to make a difference in the community, even in small ways, through GMBank.
Reyes acknowledged the solid support, unwavering efforts, and hard work of the bank’s management, employees, and other stakeholders. Thanks to their collective dedication, they were able to bring a sense of value and remembrance to 60 indigent families and over 200 indigent children during the Holiday Seasons. However, she emphasized that the true fulfillment derived from the project extended far beyond the numbers presented. It was the realization that their bank initiatives had become a source of light and solace in the lives of others that made the endeavor truly meaningful.
The priceless smiles, joy, and laughter of the children during the program left a lasting impact on Reyes and the team. Remarkably, despite the challenges posed by the aftermath of the pandemic, GMBank remained steadfast in upholding one of its core values: social responsibility. The bank continued to choose service even in the face of adversity, a fact that deeply impressed Reyes.
Overall, GMBank’s outreach program makes a positive impact on the community by providing support and resources to those who need it most. The bank is proud to be involved in these initiatives and always looks forward to continuing to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
